The Secret Place Ministry Center basically began as a bible study in my living room. About 25 years ago I was serving as the Christian education director at a local Assembly of God church. I was also leading a Celebrate Recovery Christian 12-step group at my church. One morning in prayer I asked God why to the people in my recovery group seem to struggle so much in their walk with You? He answered me and said that although their spirits were born again, their souls were in bondage and they needed deliverance. I resigned my position at the church and began a quest that lead to my personal healing and freedom as I was trained in deliverance and inner healing through Vision Life Ministries and Elijah House Ministries. After completing their training and serving in these ministries for a few years, the Lord told me to restart my home group and a friend gave me the name "Secret Place" from Psalm 91:1.
